My name is Malva and I’m looking for a long-term home in an Amsterdam woongroep. I’m originally from Sweden but have lived in the Netherlands for many years and plan to stay here long-term. I’m a graphic designer and have studied at the Royal Art Academy in the Hague. In my practice I’m interested in collaborative and research based graphic design and publishing. I have a real love for print!
I have been on the lookout for a room in a woongroep for a while, as I see it as the only sustainable housing option, both socially and economically. I like living together and I think it makes sense to share some resources and responsibilities. This, while keeping your own private space too.
I spend most of the week working in my studio. On the weekends I usually visit some exhibition, opening, watch a movie, eat with friends or read in bed. I have lived in many shared homes and I enjoy keeping things tidy, calm and friendly. I cook simple food (and always clean up the kitchen after myself!), I don't smoke and I try to keep a minimal amount of things/waste. I think I’m fairly handy and sensible when it comes to keeping a home and would look forward to participating in house work / maintenance / decisions.
