We are Tijl van Abbe (22) and Sid van de Laar (25) and we are two dutch creative professionals from Eindhoven looking for a shared living space in Amsterdam. Both are artists who work closely together on independent film and music projects.
Tijl is a trained actor and musician, currently working on a third short film. Sid van de Laar is a graduate graphic designer, cinematographer, and director who collaborates with Tijl on the visual and conceptual development of their projects.
They share a strong friendship and an inspiring creative partnership that blends visual storytelling, performance, and music. From June to September 2025, they lived in Amsterdam North and discovered how vital it is for young artists to be surrounded by the city’s cultural energy and inspiration. That experience made it clear that Amsterdam is the ideal place to live and grow both artistically and personally.
As housemates, they value open communication, respect, and a balanced lifestyle. Their home is a calm and positive environment that supports creativity, productivity, and friendship. Both are tidy, responsible, considerate and not as formal as this message sounds.
In their free time, they enjoy cooking together, exploring film screenings and art events, and connecting with other creatives in the city.
They are now looking for a place that can truly feel like home,a base where they can continue building their artistic careers while contributing to a friendly, inspiring living community.
