Hello there!
My name is Hannah Schleifer, I am 27 years old and originally from Germany. I moved to Den Haag 5 years ago to study photography at the KABK. I graduated last summer (2024) and now work as a photographer and bookbinder in Den Haag. I share a studio space with friends that became colleagues over time. We organise exhibitions, film screenings, dinners and try to build a nice program for the public and for ourselves. I really enjoy being with people and creating, hosting and thinking things together so I am very happy that this became (and still is becoming) my working reality. So reading about your living concept makes me really excited as it sounds like something I would really enjoy and could contribute something to. In my free time I organise a festival that takes place back in my hometown in Germany together with friends (I do the design and merchandise), I like to take walks, go hiking and to cook. Going to Kringloops is also a fixed part of my week.
I have lived in shared houses my whole life, in Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands and I really appreciate the communal way of living. As I am single but a social person having roommates and a lively home situation is essential for me. My current house was shared as well but became more and more anonymous over time - now that our landlord wants to move into the house himself I have to find something new and really want to live in a more communal way again. For me that means having the knowledge that other people are there, that I am there for them, they are there for me but at the same time everyone has their freedom, their own life and space.
