Hello Woongroep, my name is Matheus, and I'm originally from Brazil and I’m now living in Amsterdam for two years. I’m 27, turning 28 next september 14. I’m currently living at Oost for about a year, near the Muiderpoortstation.
Sharing some small words about myself: I work both as a professional dancer and a graphic designer, which are my two greatest passions. Most of my days are spent immersed in it. So my week routine is divided by taking dance classes/rehearsing/performing, working on my graphic design universe and I’m as well dedicating some time as a barista.
You'll often find me listening to music. I enjoy exploring new genres and styles, going to concerts, theaters and expositions. Art is a big part of my life! I have recently started to knit, I just finished my first sweater and am now going for a blanket, summer is almost ending so it might be right on time. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't mind if others around me eat meat and I enjoy sharing meals when we can. I don't smoke, and I don't have any pets at the moment. Back in Brazil I had a dog for more than 13 years and I really enjoy having some pets around. I value having a house where I feel I can rest my body and mind. I’m a very considerate person who seeks respect and care for each other. I am not a loud person and I believe in open communication and finding agreements where we are all happy about. I'm an organized person who likes contributing to make the house a better place as well.
For me the most important thing is that I’m looking for a new house where I feel at home and connected to my housemates, where we can find space for our privacy but also to connect to each other.
I grew up in a shared family community, having my relatives always around: my aunt, uncle, cousins and my grandmother, we were 10 in total. My family built this house from the ground. I grew up with the perks and the challenges of a living community. What I for sure always enjoyed was the support and care that grows out of it towards each other, to know you have a community around you. And that is somehow what I’ve been missing at the moment.
Happy to share more if we will have the opportunity to meet.
